Dr. Nathan Blitz DDS

Family:
Dr. Nathan Blitz is married to his high school sweetheart Eva. They have been blessed with three daughters and one son-in-law. As the lone male in a family of four women Dr. Blitz was ecstatic when Jon joined the family.

Schooling:
Dr. Blitz received both his degrees, Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery, from the University of Toronto.

Professional Achievements and Accomplishments:
Dr. Blitz has written articles in peer reviewed journals on cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

He has lectured in Canada and abroad on cosmetic and implant dentistry.

He has earned Accredited Status in cosmetic dentistry from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).

He is the primary author of DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT EVALUATION IN COSMETIC DENTISTRY which is the official Guide to Accreditation Criteria of the AACD.  

He is a co-founder of the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

In 2006 he was recognized at the AACD conference with the presentation of the outstanding service award.

Service in Dental Organizations:

Dr. Blitz has been very involved with various dental organizations related to Cosmetic Dentistry.

He is one of the founding members of the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (TACD). He has served in all positions on the TACD Board, including two years as President.

He has served on the board of the Canadian Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

He was chair of the Ad Hoc Curriculum Development Committee and later the Ad Hoc Criteria Committee of the AACD.

He was chair of the International Relations Committee of the AACD and in that position worked with the dentists of Greece and Germany to establish their national cosmetic dental organizations.

What I Like ABout RYD:
We have a wonderful group of people dedicated to working together as a team to provide excellent patient care.

My Passion:
My family and work is my passion. The highlights of my life are marrying Eva, the birth of our children, their various accomplishments, and most recently the wedding of our daughter. My portrait is the picture from their wedding.

Dentistry is the other love of my life. I enjoy the work itself and the interaction with patients. The ideal for me never includes complete retirement.

Hobbies:
Dr. Blitz is an avid reader. He is a history buff and he enjoys walking and traveling. Any vacation that involves those activities is the ideal trip for him.
